Measure the share of impressions turned into clicks

Marketing teams use it to measure the share of impressions that lead to clicks and identify the ads attracting the most interest.

Measure the share of impressions turned into clicks. Everything runs in your browser, so the values you enter are never uploaded, shared, or stored.

How to use

  1. Enter the number of clicks on the first line, without spaces or thousands separators.
  2. Put the number of impressions on the second line, then run the calculation.
  3. Read the resulting rate, expressed as a percentage, and compare it with other ads or other periods.
  4. Change one value at a time to see how extra clicks or extra impressions move the rate.

Example

The sample places 32 clicks above 800 impressions, two values separated by a simple line break. Once the calculation is done, read the percentage and compare it with the rates of your other campaigns to decide which one deserves to keep running.

Where processing happens

The calculation runs in your browser on the two values you type: they are neither uploaded nor stored, and the result disappears with the page.

Frequently asked questions

How is the click-through rate worked out?

It is the ratio of clicks to impressions, converted into a percentage. A high figure means that a large share of the times your ad appeared led to a visit.

What happens if the impression count is zero?

Dividing by zero has no meaning, so there is no rate to calculate without any impressions. Check your figures before running the calculation again.

Can I compare several ads with each other?

Yes, but one after another: write down each result, then run the calculation again with the next ad's values. A comparison table can then be built by hand.
