Restore plaintext from the package

Developers and security teams use AES-GCM decryption when preparing a check, a local test or integration data.

Decrypt a package generated on this site and recover readable text with its passphrase. Use it for free in your browser, with no account required.

How to use

  1. Paste the encrypted package into the input field exactly as it was produced when the text was encrypted.
  2. Enter the same passphrase that was used to create the package, without adding extra spaces.
  3. Start decryption and wait for the readable text to appear in the result area.
  4. Check that the recovered content matches what you expected before you reuse it.
  5. Clear the passphrase and package if you are working on a shared device.

Example

A common case is recovering a note or configuration a colleague sent as an encrypted package. Paste the package, type the agreed passphrase, then read the output. If nothing readable appears, the passphrase or the package probably do not match.

Limits and formats

Where processing happens

The passphrase and package stay inside your browser while the operation runs. Nothing is sent outside, and no copy remains after you close the page or clear the fields. You can try another package without creating an account.

Frequently asked questions

Why do I get no readable text after decryption?

This usually means the passphrase is wrong, the package was altered, or it did not come from the expected process. Check letter case, spaces and where the package came from before trying again.

Can I decrypt a file found on another website?

Not reliably. The tool is designed for a package produced with the corresponding AES-GCM encryption. A different format will most likely not be recognized.

Is my passphrase stored anywhere?

No. Processing happens in the browser and nothing is transmitted. Close the tab or use the erase action if you want to remove the displayed values.
