Ideal for podcasters, interviewers and editors who only need the spoken audio or music contained in an existing video file.
Separate the soundtrack from a video and save it as an MP3 track for listening, transcription, editing or reuse in another project.
A podcaster can pull the audio track from an MP4 interview and use the MP3 for transcription or a quick edit. After downloading, check that the voices are complete and that the MP3 plays from start to finish without gaps.
The video is uploaded and processed on the YOORfree server, with support for files up to 512 MB. It is handled in memory without disk writing on the gateway and deleted when the operation ends. The video and its result are kept for at most 15 minutes by default, then removed; names and contents are not logged, and no third party is involved.
The supported source formats are MP4, WebM, MOV, MKV and AVI. If your camera or phone uses a different container, convert the video to one of those formats before trying the extractor again.
MP3 compression can slightly reduce audio detail compared with the original soundtrack. For interviews, notes or rough edits it is usually practical, but keep a higher-quality source if you need a final master.
The uploaded video and the extracted result remain available for at most 15 minutes by default. After that they are deleted. If you miss the window, you need to upload the source video again.
