See what social networks will show for your page

With Open Graph preview, web developers and site testers can preview a page before sharing it on social networks. See what social networks will show for your page.

See what social networks will show for your page. The tool is free in your browser and shows the result without asking you to create an account.

How to use

  1. Copy the full address of the page whose social sharing appearance you want to check.
  2. Enter that address in the field reserved for the page to share, without adding extra spaces.
  3. Launch the test so the tool asks for the metadata published by the target page.
  4. Look at the generated preview and check the title, description and image that are offered.
  5. Erase the address to test another page or compare two versions of the same page.

Example

A common case is checking an article page before sharing it on a social network. The preview shows what visitors should see; if the image or description looks wrong, correct the Open Graph tags on the page and run the test again.

Limits and formats

Where processing happens

The request is made by the YOORfree server: the address you enter is sent to it so it can query the target site and retrieve the metadata. No file is uploaded.

Frequently asked questions

Why is no image shown in the preview?

The target page may not expose an Open Graph image, or the image address may not be publicly reachable. Check the og:image tag and make sure the file can be loaded by anyone.

Can the tool test a page behind a password?

No, the service needs public access to read the page metadata. A page protected by authentication will probably return an empty or incomplete result.

Why does the preview differ from the social network post?

Each platform applies its own rules and may keep an older version in its cache. The tool shows the available metadata, but the final appearance depends on the network you use.
