Title lengths against SEO bounds

Editors and content leads can review a batch of titles before publication to identify which ones fall outside the intended SEO limits.

Scan a list of titles against the SEO length bounds, revealing which entries need to be shortened or expanded before they are used.

How to use

  1. Open the tool and paste your titles into the input area, keeping one title per line so each entry is measured on its own.
  2. If you prefer, import a text, CSV, JSON, Markdown, XML or YAML file with the list, then check that the titles appear in the order you expect.
  3. Run the measurement to see the length of every title and find entries that fall outside the SEO bounds you are tracking.
  4. Review the result line by line, edit the titles that need shortening or expanding in your own document, then run the measurement again.

Example

Paste the three sample titles, one per line, then start the measurement. Look at which entries are flagged as long or short against the SEO bounds, and compare their lengths to decide which title should be trimmed or expanded before you publish it.

Where processing happens

Everything runs locally in your browser. The titles you paste or import are not sent anywhere and remain on your device. That makes the tool suitable for checking private editorial lists without transmitting their content.

Frequently asked questions

Can I measure a very long list of titles in one go?

Yes, as long as your browser can handle the amount of text and each title stays on its own line. For very large lists, split the work into smaller batches to keep the result readable.

Why can two titles of similar length be flagged differently?

Length alone is not the only factor. The SEO bounds, character counting and the way words are spaced can change the outcome, so always check each line in the result.

Are accents and special characters counted?

They are part of the measured text. An accent or punctuation mark can add characters and push a title outside the bounds, even when it looks short on screen.
