Build a payment request URI

Merchants and individuals can prepare a payment request before presenting it as a QR to the person who will pay.

Build a payment request URI. The result stays in your browser, ready to review, copy and adapt without an account or any transfer of your input.

How to use

  1. Choose the requested network, bitcoin or ethereum, then enter the address that should receive the payment.
  2. Add the amount if you want it included in the request, or leave that field empty when the payer must decide.
  3. Fill in an optional label to help the person paying recognise what the request is for.
  4. Compose the URI to obtain a payment request string ready to become a QR code.
  5. Review every parameter before copying the output, then clear the area for another request.

Example

Using the ethereum network, a sample address, an amount and a label, the tool builds a payment request URI. In the result, check that the network, address, amount and label appear in the correct places before turning the string into a QR code.

Where processing happens

The URI is assembled inside your browser. The network, address, amount and label stay on your device while the request is composed.

Frequently asked questions

Can I pair a Bitcoin address with the Ethereum network?

No, the selected network and the address must match. A wallet may reject an address from another chain, or the request may become unusable. Always confirm the network expected by the person or wallet that will pay before sharing the QR.

Is the amount required in the payment request?

The field is described as optional. If you leave it blank, the payer has to enter the sum manually. If you fill it in, check the decimals and the currency carefully before sharing, because a small typing error can change the request.

Can this tool tell me whether the payment arrived?

No, it only creates a request URI. Settlement happens on the blockchain through the payer s wallet. Afterward, check the address history or your wallet interface to confirm that the expected funds were received.
